Best RB can mean many things. The best pure runner? The best at getting in the endzone? The most well-rounded?
What I'll do is give my top 3 for each of these 3 categories.
Pure Runner:
1. Adrian Peterson - Led NFL in yards per game and runs over 40 yards. Avg'd 5.6 yards per carry. In my opinion, the best pure runner since Bo Jackson. I don't care about durability, everyone wishes he played on their team.
2. Fred Taylor - I know he's getting old but he had 4 runs of more than 40 yards and averaged 5.4 yards a touch last year. Still has the breakaway speed and is as tough as they come. I love to watch him run.
3. Jerious Norwood - Before you call me crazy, re-watch some Falcons games from last year. Always picks up 5 or 6 yards. Wont get goaline carries but between the 20s he is great.
Finding the Endzone
1. LT - TD king for a reason. Cannot argue the production.
2. LenDale White - Right now he is the best back inside the 10. A 250lb bull.
3. Marion Barber - A smaller version of White with a vicious stiff arm. Great back.
Best Overall
1. LT - Scores, blocks, catches, scores, throws for scores, and scores some more.
2. Edgerrin James - The most underrated back of the last 10 years. Does everything well. Especially blocking. Other than 2001 with the knee, extremely durable.
3. Brian Westbrook - Does so much for his team, the most valuable non-QB offensive player in the league. NOT-Underrated like many people seem to think.
Feel free to argue guys.
